Getting the dress you dream about

Every woman has that perfect dress, the one you see when you close your eyes. Getting it comes down to four simple steps.

Step 1First, find pictures of the dresses you love: pictures that show the neckline, skirt, back and other details you've dreamed of. They can come from different dresses. Our ideas and our Pinterest are a good place to start.

Step 2Then settle the design, and get measured properly, with a friend's help. Decide the neckline, back, length and fabric before you buy, because they're the hardest things to change later. The FAQ goes through each one.

Step 3Next come the fittings. Bring your shoes and what you'll wear underneath to every one, and keep the dress in a breathable bag until the day. On the morning, steam out the creases, put on the dress, and get married. The Bride's Kit has the few things worth having ready.

Step 4Last, the fun part: share the pictures of your happy day with your family and friends. Then have the dress cleaned and stored flat, so it stays as beautiful as it was.
